Design checks
Geometric shapes are the most common motifs for printing on fabric — especially on cotton canvas from the DIANA or Diana SOFT collection with a softer finish, or cotton sateen, poplin and Elmosa flannel, where the first and foremost motif is of course the check, inherently associated with flannel. Filter our wholesale offer with printed checks by color, weight and the desired wholesale quantity, because checks are in fashion almost all the time. The check as a motif is not boring, it is playful, and combines well with unicolour fabrics – take a look at our UNI unicolour fabric collection.
The fashion industry has specific names for the different sizes of the repeating checks design: The classic one is the shepherd's check – a tiny check pattern popularized by Christian Dior; the Glen plaid or Esterhazy combines the basic shepherd's check pattern with patterns of white, red or otherwise colored threads; then there is the Scottish plaid (tartan), Vichy etc.. The check is simply a fashionable, ageless phenomenon and evergreen.
Do you have your own design or signature check motif and need to apply it to fabric for your project or workshop? Contact us — we print any motif on fabric according to individual requirements.
COTTON TWILL
Cotton twill is made from 100% cotton and is woven with vertical rows facing either right to left or vice versa. Twill is a very solid material and thanks to its binding it excels in considerable resistance. Above all, it's characterized by its warmth, as a layer of air is maintained between the yarns, which retains heat within the product. The most widespread and well-known use is in denim production, which is used for jeans. Our cotton twills can be very gently washed up to 60°C. We recommend ironing at 150°C maximum. Before first time use, wash the finished products and wash them inside out. The leading features of cotton twill are tear resistance and easy maintenance.
USE
You can use our cotton twill to make shirts, pants, skirts, jackets, coats, vests, uniforms and work clothes. It can also be used to cover pillows, chairs, upholstery for linings or curtains, it is also suitable for the production of accessories such as bags, sacks or backpacks.
